A 59-year-old Seychellois taxi driver is in the intensive care unit at the isolation treatment centre after testing positive for Covid-19. He was first admitted to the Seychelles Hospital with severe illness.
A member of the man鈥檚 immediate family, with symptoms, has been admitted and is being investigated for Covid-19.
Health workers are tracing, quarantining, and testing the family鈥檚 recent contacts and will provide more information in a press conference.
